Pet portraiture is a fast-growing specialty in the professional photography world. As our pets participate in more diverse roles in our lives; they become more significant to us. Dogs and cats are seen frequently as therapy animals in hospitals and schools. Dogs are trained in performance competitions in events such as Flyball, AKC agility and obedience events, and field trials. These events create a stronger bond between human and animal and can explain why we feel the need to document our pet’s life with us.
